Review - LA Colors Color Craze Nail Polish in 'Sparkling Diamonds'

On a little Westfield shopping trip I had at the weekend, I picked up this gorgeous LA Colors Color Craze nail polish in 'Sparkling Diamonds' for the amazing price of £1.00!!!

I have been absolutely fascinated with this nail polish ever since I bought it as I love the combination of large round glitter and the smaller glitter. When applied the nail polish creates a gorgeous gel effect.

I love this nail polish on my nails as it gives really good coverage (with hardly no chipping) and you can wear it either over a colour or just on its own. As you can see I used this nail polish on its own on my ring finger and then used Rimmel Professional Finish in Aqua Cool 420 on my other nails.

The only problem with this nail polish is that it is really slow drying and being very impatient, to build a nice colour it did take quite a while.

Overall, I really love this nail polish as the effect is beautiful and for £1.00 you cannot really go wrong!!

Review - Locia Nail Polish Remover Scented Pads in 'Apple'

A product which I have been using for quite a while now is the Locia Nail Polish Remover scented pads in apple, which are perfect for removing nail polish and also moisturising your nails with added essential oils.

The small pot contains 32 round scented pads which are absolutely drenched with oils which add so much moisture into your cuticles and nails but also remove your nail polish in literally a second by just wiping the pads over your nails and voilaaa.... your nail polish has vanished!!!

This product is Chinese so I cannot understand what ingredients are in this product but having researched the product online they contain essential oils to help moisturise your nails and having used them for about three months, I have actually seen that my nails are beginning to get stronger... which after continuous applications of acrylic nails this is amazing.

I purchased these nail polish removed pads on eBay about a month ago, and sadly I do not think that the eBay seller I bought them off still stocks them which is such a shame as they were only £0.50. I am sure if you have a search on the internet you will easily be able to find them and they are really worth having a look for. These pads come in the scents Peach, Green Leaves, Blueberry, Lemon, Strawberry and also the Apple which I am reviewing.

Review - OPI Nail Polish in 'If You Moust You Moust'

OPI never ever fail to excite and amaze me and in my opinion OPI is definitely the best nail polish that you can purchase at such a good price!

One colour which I have loved for a really long time is If You Moust You Moust, which is a gorgeous shade of pink, which is from "The Color of Minnie" 2013 Collection. OPI says that this collection was "created in honour of Disney's beloved character, the colors encapsulate Minnie Mouse's irresistible charm in playful, pretty shades of pink and red. This collection brings together the expertise of OPI and the iconic style of Minnie Mouse to inspire the distinct palette of vibrant, feminine shades for summer Nails will pop against summer skin in these classic, saturated hues - holding their own alongside the bold prints of the season".

The colour is a gorgeous bright, but also light pink - almost like a bubblegum cream pink. I have looked online the OPI website and If You Moust You Moust actually has a purple/blue undertone which would describe the gorgeous colour between a sort of magenta and hot pink shade. Even without the OPI top coat I use on top of the nail, is has such a glossy finish.

The pictures are with 2 coats of nail polish, so you can make the colour lighter or darker depending on how many coats you apply to your nail. I was really surprised at how long the nail polish lasted without chipping, which was 6 days!


When I use this on my actual nails then I would have used the OPI base coat underneath the polish, and then used the OPI top coat over the top of the polish, although the polish is super glossy on its own which is an added bonus to the nail polish.

I purchased this nail polish from John Lewis for £11.95 - they have an amazing stall in the High Wycombe branch where you can see the whole range!
This nail polish comes everywhere with me in my makeup bag and is perfect for taking on holiday for when you want a burst of pink in your outfit.

Review - Rose & Co: Patisserie De Bain Lip Balm in 'Lemon Bon-Bon'

One of my first blogs was a review on the amazing Rose & Co: Patisserie De Bain lip balm in Sugared Violet, which is an amazing product and I absolutely love it.... but that was before I tried the Rose & Co: Patisserie De Bain lip balm in Lemon Bon-Bon which is even better!!!!

I stated in the blog post mentioned above that the Lemon Bon-Bon lip balm would be the next lip balm that I would purchase from the Patisserie De Bain range as I have seen such great reviews online. I bought this lip balm from Amazon (sadly I cannot remember how much I bought it for), but there is a bigger plastic pot (20g) which you can purchase for £5.00 from Amazon (link below).

Rose & Co was created by Patricia Rose and her daughter Caroline Rose in Yorkshire. They are both inspired by vintage and cute things hence why the packaging is so gorgeous! 
Rose & Co describe this lip balm as : "sweetly scented flavours make the balms irresistible and almost good enough to eat. Beeswax and sweet almond oil gently replenish dry lips keeping them in kissable condition for a perfectly pretty pout".

This lip balm smells exactly like lemon sherbet sweets and is a lovely balm to apply to your lips being super-soft and is a very moisturising and nourishing balm! On the back of the pot is states that the balm is a "sweet as candy lip balm with sweet almond oil", which also describes why the lip balm is so soothing on your lips.


The other ingredients which make up this lip balm are:- Petroleum, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (sweet almond oil), Cera Alba (beeswax), Aroma (flavour), Citral, Geranoil, Limonene, C1 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), C1 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), C1 42090 (Blue 1 Lake).

I really love this brand as they are so cute and quirky and their website is definitely worth having a look at (link below). If you love sherbet lemon sweets then you will love this lip balm and also the other Lemon Bon-Bon scented items, such as the candles from the Patisserie De Bain range.

Review - Avon ColorTrend Lipstick in 'Jungle Fever'

A quick review today on the gorgeous Avon ColorTrend Lipstick in the colour Jungle Fever!

I find that the Avon ColorTrend lipsticks all glide really smoothly onto my lips which I love and they all have such a strong pigment and are opaque. The colour manages to stay put on my lips for ages. These lipsticks are so affordable, and I managed to get this one for £2.00 which is amazing from the Avon sale catalogue instead of for £3.50 !!!

I really love the solid white packaging with the gorgeous limited edition hot pink animal print design as it is so different to other brands packaging. I tend to have around 10+ lipsticks in the bottom of my handbag and this lipstick, because of the packaging, is really easy to find instead of the black packaging of all the MAC lipsticks which I have, so when in a rush I can quickly find it and apply.

I absolutely love the shade Jungle Fever which Avon also make in their nail polishes, so that you can match your lips to your nails which I like to do. The shade is a red corally shade which looks lovely on your lips, and perfect for summer, being a lot more subtle than a red lipstick which can sometimes look quite harsh. I find that bright lipsticks add to any outfit - even to put your hair up on your head with no makeup except for this lipstick!

I really recommend you to look into these Avon ColorTrend lipsticks as they have such a vast range of colours and are fab in design, price and how they look on your lips!

Review - Jelly Belly French Flavoured Milkshake in 'Vanilla'

Anyone that knows me will know that I absolutely adore milkshakes and when I saw this Jelly Belly French Vanilla milkshake in Tesco's on Saturday, next to the Frijj milkshakes I just had to purchase one to try!

Jelly Belly have recently launched these milkshakes into the UK and I purchased mine from Tesco's for £1.00 at an introductory offer price, instead of £1.25 which they should usually be for the 330ml cartons. The Jelly Belly milkshakes have entered a £118.9 million flavoured milk and milkshake market and I think is a really nice thing for Jelly Belly to introduce these to their range, as they already scented candles, perfumes, car accessories such as air fresheners, lollipops, headphones, speakers,  lip glosses, scented phone cases, fizzy drinks (which also taste amazing!!!!), ice cream toppings and the list continues.... You can find all these products on the Jelly Belly website (link below) which is really worth having a look at!!!

These milkshakes come in 330ml tetra pak prisma cartons which also makes a nice change change from using plastic bottles which many milkshakes come in. These tetra pak prisma cartons are completely recyclable so after you finish the drink you can flatten the carton and pop it in your recycling bin.

On the pack the milkshake it states that is "deliciously smooth vanilla flavour milkshake" which in my opinion this milkshake definitely meets all Jelly Belly's claims being delicious, very smooth and having a lovely vanilla flavour. If you like your thick Frijj-type of milkshakes then this milkshake will probably not satisfy your needs, having a quite thin consistency, as it is made from UHT (semi-skimmed milk). The milkshake has a picture of the French Vanilla Jelly Beans on the front of the carton.

At the moment Jelly Belly have released the flavours French Vanilla, Top Banana and Dark Chocolate, however I have only tried the French Vanilla flavour. There are rumours circling that flavours like Cotton Candy and Buttered Popcorn are in development which I cannot wait to try, especially Buttered Popcorn, being my favourite Jelly Bean flavour!

They are suitable for vegetarians due to the really good lack of ingredients which are used to make these milkshakes. They consist of:- semi-skimmed milk (95%), sugar, natural flavouring, stabiliser (cellulose gum, gellan gum). I was really shocked to find that these milkshakes contain no artificial sweeteners, flavours or colours which is brilliant for a milkshake and contain around 200 calories, which is still quite a lot for a drink but not as bad as Frijj milkshakes which contain around 440 calories.

I would definitely repurchase this milkshake again as it tastes so yummmm - perfect for a treat!

Review - Purina Go-Cat Crunchy & Tender Food *

A very different blog post today as I will be reviewing Purina Go-Cat Crunchy & Tender food.

A sample of this cat food was sent to me last week by Purina, so I thought that it would be only fair to review this product and test it out on my micro-cat and also my dog, who also loved the product (no idea if it is ok to give dogs cat food but he managed to sneak in whilst I was taking the photos and munch a load of it so could not really be helped!).

On the front of the packaging which the sample was sent in it says "Voted Product of the Year 2014 - Consumer Survey of Product Innovation", which instantly drew my attention into  the product more as it shows that a lot of consumers think very highly of the kibble.

The flavour of Go-Cat which I received in the post is salmon, tuna and added vegetables.

 A money off coupon also comes inside the packaging so that if your cat enjoys the food you can purchase more with a discount, which is for £0.25 off 375g, 800g & 1.5kg packs (not much at all... but every little helps!). This money off coupon is valid until the 30th March 2015.

Inside this coupon is also a small description of the product stating that "is a 100% complete, balanced pet food and offers two different textures for your cat's enjoyment at mealtimes" being the crunchy kibble and the softer, more tender kibble. The crunchy kibble is said to "help maintain healthy teeth and gums" and the softer, more tender kibble is said to "provide extra nutrition for your cat which is rich in meat ands richer in omega 3 fatty acids. You can clearly see from the pictures the different types of kibble (red, brown and green coloured). Both the kibbles maintain and support their natural defences and contribute to a shiny coat, which I have not seen the difference yet in her fur, but then again she has only eaten a small amount from the sample pack.

My micro-cat seemed to really enjoy the kibble and wanted to eat more and more (when she could as Jager, my pomeranian, budged her out of the way). It seemed to give my cat more energy which was perfect as she is always out in the garden and then she sleeps for ages after.

This cat food is made up of:- cereals, meat and animal derivatives, vegetable protein extracts, oils and fats, fish and fish derivatives (3.3%*) , derivatives of vegetable origin, glycerol, minerals, various sugars, yeasts, vegetables (crunchy kibbles:0.2% dried vegetables equivalent to 1% vegetables).

* Equivalent to 8% rehydrated fish and fish derivatives, with 4% salmon and 4% tuna.

You can purchase Go-Cat from Tesco's (link below) for £1.49 for a 375g, which is such a good price and works out as £3.98 per kg. You can also get this food in a 800g bag for £3.15 (link below) from Tesco's, and a 1.5kg bag for £5.09. I am sure that you can purchase this food in other supermarkets such as Waitrose etc.

I would definitely buy this cat food again for my cat as she seemed to love this food and is such a good price!
