Review - The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm in Watermelon

I have been using The Body Shop Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm's for as long as I can remember and have always thought very highly of them, being one of The Body Shop's most well-known and bestselling stock. The Body Shop currently offer many lip balms in many different flavours, such as The Born Lippy Pot Lip Balms in Strawberry (recently reviewed on my blog - link below), Raspberry, Watermelon, Satsuma Shimmer, Passionberry (which I have also reviewed on my blog - link below), and also the newer Born Lippy Stick Lip Balms in Strawberry, Plum, Pink Berry, Lychee, Pomegranate and Toffee. 

The Body Shop claims that their Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm in Watermelon moisturises and conditions lips and gives your lips a soft pink tint with a gorgeous shine finish and this is exactly what the lip balm does! The lovely lip balm also has a fruity watermelon flavour to it, which I cannot get enough of and neither can my boyfriend when I apply it onto my lips... a DEFINITE first date lip balm! The Body Shop say that the lip balm is " a glossy and moisturising lip balm, with a sweet fruity flavour, that leaves lips looking and feeling soft, smooth and kissable. Our cult lip balm in a pot gives colour, flavour and moisture for more kissable lips". The lip balm inside the pot is a gorgeous nude pink colour and creates a gorgeous gloss on your lips (as you can see on my hand below). I do wish that the colour from the pot would go onto your lips as it is almost clear.

The consistency of the lip balm is almost like a really smooth, thick jelly balm which I adore as you can instantly tell that the lip balm will moisturise and condition your lips.

The ingredients which make up the gorgeous lip balm are:- Ricinus Communis, Lanolin, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Aroma (Fragrance), Cera Alba, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Silica, Benzyl Benzoate, Citrillus Vulgaris, Tocopheryl Acetate, Limonene, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Benzyl Alocol, Tocopherol, Linalool, Methyl 2- Octynoate, CI 77891, CI 19140 and C1 15850.

As you can see above, Beeswax is one of the ingredients which is sourced from Guide D'Espoir in Cameroon (means "Guiding Hope) where they produce some of the highest quality beeswax but where they also are investing in the development of the beekeepers and their communties, This product is Fair Trade and helps provide regular employment and fair wages to approximately 1,000 beekeepers, which in total helps around 10,000 people.

The other flavours you can purchase are Passionberry (which I have previously reviewed on my blog - link below), Raspberry, Strawberry (recently reviewed on my blog - link below), Satsuma and Pink Guava which all smell so delicious. These lip balms are perfect to wear on a night out, possibly on top of a lipstick when you may be getting a cheeky kiss as they all taste so gorgeous.

As I said in my previous review on the Born Lippy Lip Balm in Passionberry (link below), I made it my mission to purchase the balm in the flavours Watermelon and Strawberry, so now that I have purchased both I am now making it my mission to purchase some other Body Shop products which I can try out - if you would like me to try out and review anything in particular then please leave a comment below.

These lip balms are such a bargain being £2.00 for 10ml, and I find that they last for ages, even when you are constantly applying the balm to your lips like myself. Review - The Body Shop Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm in Strawberry

The lovely lip balm also has a fruity strawberry flavour to it, which I cannot get enough of and neither can my boyfriend when I apply it onto my lips... a DEFINITE first date lip balm! The Body Shop say that the lip balm is " a glossy and moisturising lip balm, with a sweet fruity flavour, that leaves lips looking and feeling soft, smooth and kissable". The lip balm inside the pot is a gorgeous deep red/pink colour and when applied to your lips, it creates a gorgeous sheer pink/red colour on your lips (as you can see on my hand below).

The consistency of the lip balm is almost like a really smooth, thick jelly balm which I adore as you can instantly tell that the lip balm will moisturise and condition your lips.

I love the really cute packaging of these Body Shop Born Lippy Pot Lip Balms as they come in such sweet plastic pots. However, I would prefer this in a stick as I do find it quite unhygienic dipping your finger into pots and then onto your lips... I always had this problem at school with products like Vaseline and therefore I would hardly ever share out my lip balm!

Review - Whittard of Chelsea Lychee & Mango Instant Tea

Whittard of Chelsea's 'Lychee & Mango Instant Tea' is one of my new favourite drinks to enjoy both hot or cold.

Whittard's describe their Lychee & Mango flavoured tea as "a sweet exotic mixture of delicate lychee and juicy mango flavours", which this description definitely sums up the drink, being so refreshing over ice on these hot days but also a really love hot drink to snuggle up with. I have also seen on their website that a customer recommended adding a splash of Malibu to your Lychee & Mango tea, which makes a perfect Summer beverage so I shall have to try that one!

On the back of the tub it explains Whittard's - "In 1886 young Walter Whittard opened a small shop in London, full of gleaming tea caddies ad brass weighing scales, known for its unique blends of tea. First inspired by the traditional Turkish apple drink, our instant Tea range now boasts an unrivalled host of delicious flavours".



This instant tea contains:- Cane Sugar, Citric Acid, Black Tea Extract (1.5%) and natural flavouring, and is suitable for both vegans and vegetarians. There are 78 calories per 20g of instant tea, so therefore a glass of instant tea (by Whittard's directions below) will put you back 234 calories.

On the back of the tub, there are directions on how to make the perfect instant tea:-
1) Spoon three heaped teaspoons (20g) to 200ml water, or according to taste.
2) Serve over ice for a long summer punch, or add hot water, curl up and enjoy as a soothing winter warmer.

The Lychee & Mango Instant Tea retails for £5.50 on Whittard's website (link below) which I think is such a good price, considering how large the tub is (475g). I also have to mention how much I adore the gorgeous design on the tub (I think this is actually what drew me into this flavour as I love the colours on the parrot... yes I am a HUGE sucker for packaging).

Review - Whittard of Chelsea Luxury White Hot Chocolate

Whittard of Chelsea's Luxury White Hot Chocolate really is amazing, being so smooth and creamy and tasting absolutely incredible!!!!

Whittard's describe their Luxury White Hot Chocolate as a drink which "captures the exquisite sweetness of white chocolate to the full. It is deliciously smooth and decadent drink with a melt-in-the-mouth intensity that leaves you wanting for more. Deliciously creamy and as soft as velvet, it's not hard to see why this is one of our best-selling hot chocolates".


On the back of the tub of Luxury White Hot Chocolate it explains Whittard's - "Walter Whittard opened his first shop in 1886. Hot chocolate was at the heart of the business from the very start, and the shop was farmed for its cocoa. Walter's original promise was to buy the best. Today we continue to supply sensational flavours to exceed your expectations".

This hot chocolate contains:- sugar, cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, whey powder, dextrose, salt, emulsifier, flavouring and also contains milk. It is suitable for Vegetarians and Coeliacs, but not suitable for Vegans and those with Lactose intolerance. A 20g serving of this will put you back 91 calories on your daily intake, so therefore a mug would be 273 calories. (see picture below for all the nutritional facts).


On the back of the tub it explains to you how you can make a perfect hot chocolate:-
1) Spoon 3 heaped teaspoons (20g) into a mug or cup, maybe a couple more if you are feeling decadent.
2) Gently heat approximately 200ml of milk and pour onto the chocolate stirring throughly.
3) For a moment of true indulgence, top with whipped cream, marshmallows and a generous sprinkle of hot chocolate powder.

I love this hot chocolate so much as it is perfect for snuggling up with a blanket and watching your favourite film with your loved ones as a lovely treat. It has a texture which is so smooth and creamy that you just want more and more and is totally irresistible.


The Luxury White Hot Chocolate retails for £5.50 on Whittard's website (link below) which I think is such a good price, considering how large the tub is (375g).
